The AUDD Gateway streamlines the process of transacting in the Australian market for both merchants and consumers by providing efficient, secure methods for sending and receiving payments. Understanding the transaction handling mechanisms available through the AUDD Gateway is crucial for users to fully leverage its capabilities. This guide delves into the supported AUD payment methods and outlines the procedures for both sending AUDD to merchants and receiving AUDD from merchants.

Supported AUD Payment Methods

The AUDD Gateway currently supports two primary methods for AUD payments, catering to the preferences and needs of a wide range of users:

Bank Transfer (Direct Entry)

The traditional method of bank transfers is available, allowing users to send payments directly from their bank accounts using the BSB and account number details. This method is widely used for its familiarity and reliability.

PayID (OSKO/NPP)

For a faster, more convenient banking experience, the AUDD Gateway supports PayID payments via OSKO. This method enables near-instant transfers between banks, utilising email addresses or phone numbers as identifiers instead of traditional BSB and account numbers. PayID payments are becoming increasingly popular for their ease of use and speed.

Transaction Management

The management of transactions through the AUDD Gateway varies depending on the nature of the transaction. Here's what users need to know:

Sending to Merchants

  • Via AUD Payment Details: Users can send money to the AUDD Gateway by using the provided AUD payment details. This process is straightforward and involves entering the BSB and account number or PayID details into the user's banking platform to complete the transfer.
  • From Existing AUDD Digital Wallet Balance: For those who already have a balance in their AUDD Digital wallet, or for returning AUDD Gateway users, it is possible to send directly from this balance. This option offers convenience and speed, as it eliminates the need to transfer funds from a bank account first.

Receiving from Merchants

  • Specifying Bank Details for AUD Payout: When receiving from the AUDD Gateway, users can specify their bank details for an AUD payout. This requires providing the AUDD Gateway with the necessary BSB and account number or PayID information to facilitate the transfer.
  • Choosing from Previously Used Details: For users who have previously received payments via the AUDD Gateway, there is an option to choose from previously used bank details. This feature streamlines the process for repeat transactions, making it faster and more convenient to receive payments.

The AUDD Gateway's transaction handling capabilities are designed to offer flexibility, security, and convenience for both merchants and consumers engaging in the Australian market. By supporting both traditional bank transfers and the modern PayID system, the AUDD Gateway ensures that users have access to efficient payment methods that suit their preferences. Whether you're sending money to a merchant or receiving funds, the AUDD Gateway provides a streamlined, user-friendly experience that enhances the overall transaction process.
